Pricing
How pricing works.
We do not post prices, because two houses never need the same work. Here is how your number is made, and when you see it.
What decides the price
Each of these is a line on your quote.
Capacity, from the load calculation
Number of indoor units, or ducted or multi-zone
Electrical work and panel room
Line set length and the outdoor unit's mount
Whether the old boiler stays, is capped or is removed
Permits
What the quote includes, and what it doesn't
The equipment model is named, and labor, permits and the rebate each have a line.
Includes: equipment, labor, electrical work, permits, startup
Doesn't include: work you leave off the quote, fuel tank removal, drywall repair beyond the wall penetrations
How long the quote holds is written on it
What happens at the visit
We walk the house, look at the boiler room and panel, and take measurements for the load calculation. Before we book it, we tell you whether the visit has a fee and whether it is credited toward the work if you hire us.
The rebate line
The Efficiency Maine rebate shows as its own line, after we check the program's page. If the rules change before install, we tell you in writing.
When you get the number
In a written quote, before any work starts, as a fixed price for the lines on it. It arrives after the visit and the load calculation, not on the phone.
If the work changes
If we find something that changes the job, we price it in writing and wait for your yes before we do it.

It starts with a home visit and ends with a written quote.
