At the visit
What we ask at every first visit.
- 01
What heats the house now
Oil, propane or something else, and roughly how much you burn in a winter.
- 02
Which rooms stay cold
The rooms that never warm up tell us where the first indoor units go.
- 03
The electrical panel
A heat pump needs its own circuit, so we check what room the panel has.
- 04
What you want to keep
A boiler you trust, a wood stove, a room you would rather leave alone.
Short answers.
What does the home visit cost, and what do I get?
We tell you before we book it whether the visit has a fee and whether it is credited toward the work if you hire us. You get a walk through the house, a look at the boiler room and the electrical panel, and a written quote with the equipment model named. The pricing page has the full list.
Do you pull permits?
Yes. The electrical work needs a permit, and the quote lists the permits the job needs. Your town's inspector signs off before we call the job finished.
What does the warranty cover?
The manufacturer warrants the equipment, and the terms depend on registering it, which we do for you. Our own workmanship terms come in writing with the quote, with what they cover and what they leave out.
